Attendance Requirements
- Federal financial aid requires verified attendance in classes.
- Refund checks will be mailed once attendance is verified.
- Direct deposit is available, contact the Financial Analyst for details.
- Veterans receiving benefits must attend all scheduled class meetings. Failure to do so could result in loss of benefits and repayment of funds. See the Student Handbook for VA policies.
Enrollment and “Freeze” Dates
- Aultman College uses a “freeze” date each semester to determine enrollment status for financial aid.
- Credit hours on the freeze date are used to calculate federal aid.
- Adding or dropping classes before the freeze date may change your aid.
- Adding or dropping classes after the freeze date will not change your aid amount.
Policy Exceptions
- Stafford Loans: Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at disbursement.
- OCOG Funds: Awards are adjusted based on the percentage reduction in your actual fee charges during the refund period.
- Withdrawal: If you withdraw or stop attending before completing 60% of the semester, financial aid may be recalculated. You could owe a refund to the grant program, the College, or it may affect future aid eligibility.
